- Collaborate and lead the organization as a member of our leadership team.
- Lead and assist all Engineering and Drafting personnel under the direction of the Plant Manager.
- Responsible for all project execution customer communications to ensure seamless communication and successful project delivery through close collaboration with customers
- Plan, establish and execute work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and delivery deadlines. This includes written documentation that can be shared and communicated across the team.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, weld symbols and technical specs.
- Participate in troubleshooting, evaluation/implementation of new techniques and processes.
- Participate in oversight of shop equipment safety, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing or similar/related program. In lieu of degree, Trade School and/or Vocational Training in the Management of Blueprint Reading, Welding, Fabrication or equivalent work history.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial metalwork, a good eye for detail, and excellent mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with MIG, TIG and Stick welding operations.
- Prior experience working on expansion joints and dampers is a plus.
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Project experience a plus.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
- Knowledge of industry safety practices
