We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced part-time or full-time Legal Assistant to join a dynamic team in the Birmingham area. In this specialized role, you will provide invaluable administrative and clerical support to their team of legal professionals, contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities for Legal Assistant:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements
- Conducting legal research, organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files, and assisting with the preparation of legal documents
- Serving as a point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and professional communication
- Collaborating with the legal team to streamline processes and implement best practices
- Performing a variety of other administrative duties as needed to support the overall operations of the legal department
Qualifications for Legal Assistant:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with legal-specific software
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred: Paralegal certification or relevant legal education
Compensation and Benefits for Legal Assistant:
Compensation for this position is $40,000 or more depending on experience along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
