The successful Architect Manager will:
- Have, at a minimum, a professional degree in architecture from an accredited university and 5-10 years of experience working in established architectural and/or design firms. Licensure is required.
- Have a solid work history including experience in design development, construction documentation, and construction administration of public, commercial, healthcare, multi-family, and food service projects.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office programs, as well as familiar with Adobe Creative Suite. Strong visual presentation and communication skills are required.
- Have a strong background in designing structures to meet building and zoning codes, and other state and/or regional codes and ordinances.
- Have a well-developed understanding of construction documents and the ability to review and correct errors in documents without supervision.
- Have experience with the permitting and bidding processes.
- Have a passion for creative design solutions and problem solving.
- Have the ability to interact professionally with clients, handle engineering consultant coordination, and interface with contractors for design intent follow through.
- Enjoy working independently, and/or in a team setting, and be excited to share knowledge and ideas while helping others improve their own skills and expertise.
- Work quickly, effectively, efficiently, and within project timelines as either a design team member or project manager.
