We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accountant to join our team. This role blends deep accounting expertise with operational awareness, working closely with our service teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial clarity.
 
Position Summary:
Position prepares monthly financial statements, general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement supporting schedules; prepares applicable sales tax reporting; research’s accounting discrepancies; and provides analytical support to President.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly GAAP-compliant financials using accrual basis accounting in QuickBooks
  • Create and input journal entries throughout the month
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, prepaid and deferred revenue worksheets
  • Manage accounts payable utilizing various payment methods
  • Manage and reconcile Ramp credit card statement monthly
  • Prepare sales tax returns and payments for multiple states and municipalities
  • Maintain a reconciliation for balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain invoicing, including monthly recurring revenue (MRR) and equipment-based billing
  • Maintain Prepaid and Asset Register schedules
 
Job Qualifications and Skills:
 
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university; three or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer software knowledge required.
 
Accountant Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess an advanced knowledge of accounting. Individual must have the ability to analyze general ledger accounts, have a strong work ethic and have exceptional time-management skills. Individual must be organized, detail oriented, ethical, independent, flexible, and a problem solver. Computer software expertise is necessary, with QuickBooks and Halo PSA software preferred. An ability to understand the technology industry is required.
