VitAL Annual Conference – Rural Health: Stronger Together August 26-27 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. $125 Bryant Conference Center or Online The VitAL Annual Conference will offer an interdisciplinary education/training opportunity. This opportunity will house both the 2024 VitAL Annual Conference as well as the 2024 Annual NARMH Conference. This year’s theme is Rural Health: Stronger Together. Participants will have the option to attend the full two-day conference for $125, which includes the opportunity to earn up to 11.5 CE hours. Attendees can also choose to attend the one-day conference for $75, which includes the opportunity to earn up to 6 CE hours. Both in-person and virtual options are available. After an electrifying career at Texas A&M, in 2012 Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. That season, he set an SEC record for total offense with 5,116 yards and was responsible for 47 total touchdowns. Manziel owns the top four single-game total offense marks in Texas A&M history. He led the Aggies to back-to-back bowl wins, including rushing for 229 yards against Oklahoma in the 2013 Cotton Bowl. Manziel was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 1st round of the 2014 NFL Draft. His professional career was brief, playing just two seasons while dealing with personal issues off the field. Today, Manziel is focused on health, mental wellness and using his platform to raise awareness around these important topics. He has been open about his struggles with mental health and substance use, sharing his journey towards a positive, purposeful life after fame at such a young age. Manziel hopes to inspire others through vulnerability and advocacy in this space.
