Auburn Cary Center's Free & Virtual Nonprofit Training Series

The Auburn University College of Human Sciences’ Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies will feature Dr. Emilie Socash, Founder and CEO of the Nonprofit Help Center, in a virtual program, titled “Courageous Self Care: Nurture Your Capacity, Your Career, & Your Self-Compassion,” which will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm CST via Zoom. Emilie founded the Nonprofit Help Center in 2018, after working in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years. She holds a masters in nonprofit management and a doctoral degree in organizational and leadership psychology, and her doctoral dissertation focused on psychological factors related to donor behavior. In 2021, her company launched the Merit® Nonprofit Professional Development platform, an online capacity-building system that is designed just for nonprofit teams, which now supports over 400 nonprofits (and the thousands of people who work at them) nationwide. She has published two books on personal mission statement development, and works to use her words to improve the world. Emilie is an avid traveler, reader, and believer in the power of people to make great things happen.
