Snelling is seeking a motivated and experienced EDI Developer professional in the Bessemer area! Candidate will lead a cross-functional team in data migration and transformation initiatives into streamline system/data processes, improve data accuracy and optimize overall system performance.
EDI Developer Essential Functions:
- Perform hands-on SQL development; queries, stored procedures, and troubleshooting database issues in Great Plains.
- Investigate and resolve data integrity issues that impact downstream business processes and integrations.
- Provided backend support and optimization for Great Plains (or ERP system), ensuring system stability and efficiency.
- Acts as the primary technical liaison with third-party support vendors for GP maintenance and performance tuning.
- Oversee and guide IT analyst, developers and external vendors to manage EDI Integrations with 3rd party organizations and other systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for integration failures and data flow inconsistencies
- Lead data migration efforts, ensuring accurate data mapping, transformation, and validation from GP to the new ERP.
- Collaborate with ERP consultants and vendors to align system configurations with business processes and reporting needs.
- Develop process mapping and system design strategies to optimize workflows pre-and post-migration.
- Work cross-functionally with leadership, finance, IT, etc to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
- Recommend automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell, Python, or others) to enhance efficiency.
EDI Developer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, or Business Administration. A master’s degree is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in SQL development, data integrity management, ERP systems, and business system analysis.
- Extensive experience writing SQL (T-SQL, SSRS, database troubleshooting) stored procedures.
- Experience with EDI data interfaces and SCS Management
- Experience in 810, 850, 856, 860, 855, 204, 214, 210, 204, 837, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 820 and 997 Transactions
- Expertise in process mapping, system design and business analysis to optimize workflows
- Hands-on-experience in data migration and transformation for ERP implementations a plus
- Experience with cloud database technologies
- Experience with XML, Json, and web services a plus
- Knowledge of Power BI or other analytics tools for financial/operational reporting preferred
- Experience coordinating with vendors and IT developers for integrations and troubleshooting
- Agile (Scrum) Experience
EDI Developer Salary: $90,000-115,000 annually Depending on experience
