Hands-on experience with writing press releases, event planning, electronic news magazine & blast, photography, social media, & graphic arts


Duties may include:

-Creating social media posts with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.

-Creating promotional items for events; flyers, posters, etc. using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

-Assisting the Marketing Committee and chamber staff with writing and designing articles for the monthly Newsletter.

-Writing articles and press releases for the local newspapers and magazines.

-Participate in think tanks for new collateral supporting the Chamber's brand

-Send email communications through chamber software and Constant Contact

-Assist with committee meeting preparation and notes.

-Providing support at Chamber events



Desired skills & qualifications:

-Some studies in Event Management, Communications, Public Relations, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Communication, Marketing, or Tourism



-Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

-Possess excellent verbal & written communication skills

-Able to manage multiple takes simultaneously & work independently
