DESCRIPTION:The Auburn University College of Human Sciences' Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies is partnering with the Walker Area Community Foundation to present a day of training for nonprofits. The Cary Center Nonprofit Training Series program will take place on Thursday\, September 26\, 2024\, from 8:45 am to 2:00 pm CST (lunch is provided) at Bevill State Community College and will include sessions on budgeting for nonprofits\, steps to securing major gifts\, incorporating AI in nonprofits\, and managing responsibilities and self-care. \n\n\n\nFeatured experts for this program will include:\n\n	Budgeting for Nonprofits with Sarah Stumpf\, Director of Operations\, Make-A-Wish  Alabama\n	Steps to Securing Major Gifts with Nancy Rieves\, Ed.D.\, Founder\, Fundraising Maximized \n	Incorporating AI in Nonprofits with Caryn Terradas\, CEO\, Social U\n	Managing Responsibilities and Self-Care with Carrie May\, Ph.D.\, Counselor and Art Therapist\, UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Center\n\n This program was made possible by the generosity of these Cary Center Community and\n\nCollegiate program sponsors: Auburn University Outreach\; East Alabama Community\n\nFoundation\; River Region United Way\; Auburn University Outreach-Office of Public Service\;\n\nSocial U\; Drummond Thorne Stukes Fund for Excellence in the Cary Center for the\n\nAdvancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies\, and a community service grant made\n\npossible by state senator Randy Price and state representative Joe Lovvorn.\n\n\n\nThe Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies is an academic center in Auburn University's College of Human Sciences with a focus on financial wellness\, philanthropy engagement\, and nonprofit studies. The Cary Center inspires its participants to discover their purpose through learning\, giving\, and growing while empowering all generations to leave an enduring legacy. The Community and Collegiate division of the Cary Center provides capacity-building resources to nonprofits to include educational programming\, professional development\, and networking.
